no Tribivet in fever! temp will go up! do not use oral bcomplex in fever also, they will not work till tempn is so high.

in the event of temp is above 106.5-107*f, if temp do not fall in 2 hrs, surely dog will die due to organ failures. Did u take blood for hematology & biochemistry? The dog might have fits before!! check ur thermometer.

this is really "believe it or not case"!!... See more

some ideas:
1. put the drip bottle in freeze before IV drips
2. use Crocin syp every 6hrs orally
3.RL can be a very good thing, give huge quantity of drips.
4. steroids if required ,but caution: may be better not to use
5. cleraly tell the prognosis to owner
6. keep ice packs on head, give icewater scrubs to reduce temp.
7.use OTC with ceftriaxone-tazobactum
8.blood testing must, may need again after stabilizing.

Since the dog has history of no vaccination and deworming we can rule out couple of thngs

could be Erlichiosis , chk out for haematology and General Health Profile to chk on kidney and liver before it is too late as temp is too high .

Stabilize the patient with fluids and if not eating can stimulate wth steroids.... See more

y in India bloods are not done in first instance as I think it gives you a clear cut picture of general health profile.here in Uk itz mandatory to go for minimum blood profile for sick patients.I advise u to go for it .

a simple blood smear will speak all about this condition , till now with OTC might have cured the illness.
