a case by Dr Ajithesh

Ajitesh Kumar A FIVE YEAR OLD BASSET HOUND MALE CAME WITH MULTIPLE CUTANEOUS ERUPTIONS. THE PATIENT WAS TREATED BY ANOTHER VET SINCE LAST 3 MONTHS. THAT TIME THERE WAS ONLY ALOPECIA. HE GAVE VIT A , DECTOMAX, AND STREPTOPENICILLIN. PATIENT RECOVERED. IT CAME BACK WITH THE PROBLEM OF CORNEAL OPACITY AND SKIN INFECTION WITH HAIR FALL ...1 MONTHS LATER. AGAIN THE SAME MEDICATION WAS REPEATED.BUT THIS TIME VERY NEXT DAY THERE WAS AN ERUPTION AT THE SITE OF INJECTION OF IVRMECTIN.THEN SLOWLY MULTIPLE ERUPTIONS APPEARED OVER A PERIOD OF 3 WEEKS. THIS TIME PATIENT IS ON STREPTOPENICILLIN, PREDNISOLONE AND DECTOMAX WAS GIVEN AGAIN WITH NO IMPROVEMENT.

CLINICAL EXAMINATION- TEMP 102.5,HR NORMAL, RESP NORMAL,LN-SWOLLEN PRESCAPULAR AND POPLITEAL.ACTUALLY I COULD APPRECIATE 2 PRESCAPULAR LYMPH NODES. ERUPTIONS WERE 1.5 INCH IN DIAMETER HARD TO PALPATE.
I TOOK A SKIN SCRAPING WHICH WAS NEGATIVE, COLLECTED BLOOD SAMPLE FOR ROUTINE HEMATOLOGY AND BIOCHEMISTRY, AND TOOK SAMPLE FROM THE LESION FOR CULTURE AND AST. I GAVE AVIL INJECTION AND ENROCIN.
PLEASE GIVE ME UR OPINION DOCS?

i will try to give the photographs.but i will describe the lesion as urticaria with two lesions were bleeding due to self mutilation with little pus. other eruptions are intact .

he is on enrocin , x nel OD and prednisolone BD. slowly improving

enrocin doesnot work, why not use Bayrocin doc? meanwhile what is X_nel? is it valproic acid?
