how shall we approach a case of pneumonia with gastroenteritis in a pug puppy around 45 days. i came across so many cases which i was able to handle with 50% success only.

seriously ,its a problem which i also face reqularly.paediatric patients ?how to go abt them i.v. difficult ,s/c low abs.thought of small incubator chamber wid a small bulb to provide heat and maintain temp,but do not work practically.

one must treat symptomatically but also remember that worms migrate to the lungs, especially ascarids. so deworming is also essential

yes, dewormig will be a good answer. another problem is whether we shd give fluid therapy in gastroenteritis when there is pneumonia? and what will be the best antibiotic -cftriaxone and gentamicin, or amoxy clav or something else?

If it is a pleral effusion, I wont give much fluid but if lasix is added I will use fluid as per requiremnts. In preumonias one can easily use fluids.it helps only.
