TDX: Hip dysplasia+ vaginitis. Tx: Megaflex, Betadine pressary alt days+syp citralka. Owner not willing to take megaflex telling its on Puppylarge breed from Eukunuba!+ pettabs.Adv X-ray to rule out Hip displasia.

yes . it could be both the things i. e hip dysplasia and vaginitis. before starting megaflex we can take one x ray of the hip jt. at the same time we can start meloxicam for 5 day s . if it is confirmed as HD then we can start megaflex/enhancer /maxima along with care o pet(carprofen). if the problem is too severe then even the supplements will not help. we have to go for surgery i.e FEMORAL HEAD OSTECTOMY.owner was not willing to take megaflex bec u did nt confirm HD.X RAY IS MUST IN THIS CASE.

hepatic toxicity in retreivers. though since retreivers r more in no.the ratio used in test trials might b greater as such. but since even in the literature it is mentioned to use it with caution in retreivers so save ur skin also as the owner will definetely Q u.

we generally put them on maxima or megaflex.weight management is essential.pain killers only when essential. physiotherapy helps in leading a decent lifestyle-hot fomentation- best way to manage. with surgery in this case management is a major issue.long term use of NSAIDS will cause severe gastritis along with hepatotoxicity even after using the liver protectents.
